Ingrid Laederach Steven
I BELIEVE that the happiest people are those who have found a profession they love and have created a loving family who supports and helps create and define the dream we all live for. It is our experiences with other people that give our lives joy, meaning, and purpose. Our relationships affect our lives more than anything else. Caring family and friends are probably the highest incentives an individual can have on the road to making one’s contribution to the world. Naturally, it is up to each and every one of us to create the atmosphere of harmony and happiness where it all happens. The message that has molded my outlook on both life and business centers around
treating others with the same respect that you would treat a family member, which will ultimately position you to succeed.
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to have a wonderful marriage and children, and I wanted to own my own business which would allow me the freedom to chart my own course in life.
When the opportunity presented itself to become the owner of Swiss Master Chocolatier, I knew it was exactly what I had been waiting for; truly the perfect fit for me! The business model was an exact match with my ideals, as it meant I would be in touch with people every day, and in turn, could build one-on-one relationships that would become an intricate part of my success.
Ingrid Laederach Steven, Owner of Swiss Master Chocolatier Shop is a woman of great personal warmth. You can’t help feeling that you are in the company of a dear friend. To Ingrid her upscale chocolate shop located in the prestigious Bridle Path area of Toronto, Canada is not just a business, but a “Love story of a different kind”. Ingrid, born and raised in Switzerland, had the voice of an opera singer (plus an IQ of 180) that earned her two scholarships from the United States, where she appeared on television and travelled the country performing. Suddenly, an illness kept the rising star in a comma for two weeks, damaging her vocal cords, and ending a promising career.
Ingrid re-located to Toronto, Canada, met and married her amazing husband Tom, and together looked forward to starting a family.
After seven heartbreaking miscarriages, a team of medical professionals
performed a medical miracle (recorded in medical journals) that led to the birth of two beautiful daughters, Jaclyn and Jasmin.
A devoted mother and wife, her entrepreneurial spirit ignited when the opportunity arose to become the owner of Swiss-Master Chocolatier, selling “Beautiful Chocolates to Beautiful People”, to some of the wealthiest and most influential people in Canada, including deliveries to the Queen Mother, and the Pope’s entourage. Clearly, Ingrid is doing everything right, as Swiss-Master Chocolatier is celebrating its 33rd anniversary with a congratulatory message from the Prime Minister of Canada. Ingrid has also been awarded “Retailer of the Year” by the Toronto Chamber of Commerce, and her life story receives mass recognition from Canadian, United States, and Swiss media.
