Dr. Mary Clement

When I was introduced to homeopathy in naturopathic medical school, I was skeptical of this unconventional healing modality and I just could not comprehend that dissolving sugar pellets under my tongue, was credible medicine at all. To graduate, I was required to take an introductory homeopathy class, so I attended with great curiosity.

It wasn’t long into the course that my head was spinning while memorizing all the unusual names of the remedies; Nux vomica, Lycopodium, Arnica, Passiflora, Staphisagria. What was even more confusing to me were homeopathy’s strange concepts, particularly the concept of a homeopathic remedy being more powerful the more diluted down it was from the original substance.

When “homeopathic prescribing” was described as a “spiritual” experience by a fellow clinician, I felt numb to her experience. As a second year student who was struggling to stay on top of an intense curriculum, I felt overwhelmed and mentally exhausted, void of her passion. Years would pass before I readily embraced my new role as a spiritually directed, homeopathic physician.

What is Homeopathy? A Brief Background.

Homeopathy was intuited and created by Samuel Hahnemann in the late 1700’s in Germany as a rebellion against bloodletting, leaching and administering mercury until the patient finally gave up life.

Meet Dr. Mary...

Dr. Mary Clement, a licensed naturopathic physician, has practiced natural medicine and homeopathy in Gig Harbor, Washington, since 1991.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Clement graduated from the University of Texas in 1973 with a BFA, after which she spent many years in the garment industry as a buyer for a large department store, a merchandise manager for a children’s division of a sportswear company, and a designer and manufacturer of women’s apparel and outerwear. She and her business partner received a special Governor’s award for opening the first private industry, a garment manufacturing plant, in the Purdy Women’s State Prison in Washington State.

At the age of 36, she left the “rag” clothing business to enroll at Bastyr University, an accredited naturopathic medical school in Seattle, Washington.

She graduated with a Doctorate in Natural Medicine at the age of 40 years old and then went on to earn her RN degree as a compliment to her naturopathic medical knowledge.

In Dr. Clement’s practice, her most effective modalities include homeopathy, kinesiology (Muscle Response Testing or MRT), NAET, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), Cranial Sacral and Reiki. Through the practice of energy medicine and the use of applied kinesiology, Dr. Clement developed her intuitive skills, which facilitate her intuitive“angel” readings. In 2003, Dr. Clement a􀆩ended Doreen Virtue’s Angel Therapy Training in California. The ATP training provided her with confidence to provide channeled readings for over fi􀅌een years.
